RECE Vocational Training Program - 2023/2024 Training Session, Intake of Trainees, and ‘The Way Forward’ for the program.
Mission
It is designed to train and if possible, support trainees with a ‘business startup kit' or offer jobs placement opportunities, so they can become innovative, and create wealth for themselves and families.
Aim
This RECE's Vocational Training Program is aimed at empowering refugee men and women as well as members of host community with career skills, as well nurture an entrepreneurship culture to enhance their employability and productive engagement in economic and local recovery activities.
Impact
These efforts will contribute to and complement the overall collective efforts for economic recovery and livelihood restoration for improved well-being and resilience for the entire community.
In-take
Admission was opened in May 2023 for 57 refugees and host community members for this 2023 Training Session that started from the 15th of June to the 15th of December 2023 for the following courses:
- Sewing and Dress Making
- Office Automation
- Bag Making
- Beads Making
- Crochet and Embroidery (new course)
- Hairdressing and Barbing (new course)
- Hospitality and Catering (new course)
The Way Forward
This 2023 Training Session is partially sponsored by Tertiary Sisters of St. Francis - TSSF Takum/CP and Chambers Family World Resource - CFWR US; and still need the support of well-wishers to help the RECE Moved Forward with this year’s training session.
